Day 9 of Chaitra Navratri – Worship of Maa Siddhidatri

Navratri, the grand festival of devotion and spirituality, culminates on Day 9 with the worship of Maa Siddhidatri, the goddess who grants all Siddhis (spiritual powers). She is the final and most powerful form of Goddess Durga, symbolizing divine knowledge, ultimate wisdom, and spiritual perfection.

Who is Maa Siddhidatri?

Maa Siddhidatri is revered as the goddess who bestows eight supernatural powers (Ashta Siddhis) – Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Ishitva, and Vashitva. She sits on a lotus, holds a conch, chakra, mace, and lotus in her four hands, and rides a lion. According to Hindu mythology, she granted Lord Shiva the siddhis, which led to his Ardhanarishwara form, representing the union of Shiva and Shakti.
